WollArt is the shop to visit if you are looking for a missing ball or two to finish a Rowan design in a discontinued yarn. Ute Rudat’s lovely shop in Salzhausen, an idyllic village to the south of Hamburg, is a treasure trove of Rowan yarns.
To the south of Hamburg you can find the idyllic village
of Salzhausen, home to Wollart. Ute Rudat’s passion for
tweed yarn and natural fibres led her to open Wollart
nearly 20 years ago. Her love for Rowan was established
early on and nowadays she has what she calls a ‘Rowan
Museum’. She stocks a significant amount of discontinued
Rowan yarns alongside current ranges. Every Wednesday the shop stays open late for a cosy communal knitting evening.
